I was thinking about the dusk elves from Curse of Strahd when I was designing this one. Taking winter hikes here in Canada originally inspired the idea, but it quickly evolved into something that I hoped could fit into many different campaigns. I imagined the party held up here with the dusk elves, searching for respite, before an attack by werewolves. I hope it inspires adventure ideas for a lot of you too.
